Beating the Storm to Keep Our Neighbors Nourished

With severe winter weather on the horizon, our priority at Meals on Wheels of Greater Lynchburg is ensuring no homebound neighbor is left without food when the roads freeze. To prepare, our amazing team of volunteers and staff went into overdrive—doubling up on meal prep so everyone received extra shelf-stable meals before the storm hit.

Because we stocked up our recipients in advance, we’re taking safety precautions and pausing select delivery routes early next week to keep our volunteer drivers safe on hazardous roads.
